Once we receive your mailing list, we will process it in the following manner. Manually editing your mailing list, which is not included in our basic direct mailing services, is beyond the scope of this article.
Basic List Processing
We will process your mailing list through highly sophisticated address correction and verification software. As many undeliverable addresses as possible will be deleted from your list and not mailed—saving you money on wasted postage. All zip codes will get the correct 5-digit extension and proper formatting. Your list will then be presorted for a postal discount.
Address Standardization
All contact and address information will be printed in upper case letters. Abbreviations will be used for address information. For instance, "STREET" will be changed to "ST", "ROAD" to "RD", etc.
Duplicate Removal
There are many ways to search for duplicates. By default, we will always search for an exact match on the first name, last name and address and, if found, only the first record will be kept. This will keep your recipients from getting upset at receiving too many mailers and your postage cost down.
Example 1: The first name, last name and address are an exact match, therefore, record 1 is kept in the list and mailed. Records 2 and 3 are deleted from the list.

NCOA (National Change of Address Correction)
People and businesses move all the time. When people or businesses move, they fill out a form at the post office to tell the post office where to foward the mail. This information is stored in a database that we have access to. We can use the database to update the addresses in your list so that your mail gets delivered to the new location. We can then provide this updated list back to you so you can also update your records.
This service is know as NCOA and is an optional service we can perform for you on your mailing list. It is recommended to at least use this service at least once every 6 months.
High-Speed Inkjetting
We will inket the addresses, the inidica and a bar code on to your mailers. We use only high quality, high speed inkjetting equipment to insure your job gets done as quickly as possible and is easy to read by the USPS's mail processing equipment.
Delivery to the USPS
Once all list processing is completed and payment for postage is received, we will deliver your job to the USPS. Actual delivery time for the USPS to deliver your mailer depends on the class of service, whether first class or standard class, and destination.
